Then all went around the village, and the border to neighboring parishes decided... also inspected and valued the village's lands and farms closely. The finer the yard was, that better chance to avoid moving out.
Bjersteth asked for more time and it was concluded to not start until the crops on the fields were harvested.
October 11, 1813
Began as the last one ... with the hassles of good men.
But they managed to make an assessment of Lörby, approved ...
(4 in the map... eary 80sI guess)
"Cultivate potatoes - and I drive the tractor! - in Lörby mosse...
and Yes! The glasses and the long hair is still there (and unfortunately, 20 kg more of me )"
They drew up the new road with a ruler (Lörby road is dead straight, and I remember - when I was a little girl - that I asked my Mom why? She response that it was because the aircraft could be abel to land there if there the war come ... but the truth is that they were drawn in on the map long before the aircraft's time).
It also decided that all would share in the salt lake (in Kladden and Djupekås) and that Batman crofts would be moved.
(5 in the map 2011.05.03)
"An old old ugly beech trees have fallen in Lörby Kladd
(for that you should see how big it was, I drew myself in the photo...
... and YES I know, never ever stand behind an uprooted tree..."
And as usual, asked Inspector Bjerstedt fore more time ...
June 20, 1814
Now came Bjerstedt a suggestion on where Ljungby farms Lörby 7 & 16 would lie ... which was approved.
Then the question was asked who would be willing to relocate to the Västra skogen and Skogstäppet ... which no 3, 9 and 14 can imagine.
June 21, 1814
Noted that no 1 and 2 could get opposite a large field in connection with the their farm ... and could stay in the village.
The same applied no 13, 12, 10, 6 and half no fourth...
But among the other farmers ferment now discontent ... and the neighbors were included in pact, to try to force someone else to move their farm.
October 11, 1814
Now it was hard bids for those who would have to move, and no options were granted anymore!
The new plots was drawn in along the new road, and there by howe was Lörby village "blown" ... and had been given today's elongated appearance.
It would take at least another year with numerous meeting, before enskiftet was executed.
(5 in the map 2011.05.03)
"Oops, the only way back to the car is through this jungle.
Hmm, can someone rescue me ... or at least lend me a maschete?"
When the change was implemented in 1816 lived roughly at least 550 people in Lörby. Believe it or not, but 277 of their descendants emigrated from Lörby...of them it was about 250 who went to the address America...
It is usually calculated that 20% returning to Sweden...but the others stayed in ther new country, married, had children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren...
Would think that there are several more overthere that are descendants of thes eemigrants than there are people in Lörby today.
